About me

My name is Angie Anders. I wanted to start this blog to have a place put my thoughts and experiences out there, so that people know what I’m all about as a leader and mom. I feel like this is a great place to start.

I’m a mom of four kiddos and a full time soldier in the United States Army Bands. Being a military member and leader can sometimes be very stressful but also very rewarding. I like to share my wealth of knowledge with people because I’m all about helping others because that is what Christ has taught us to be. And sometimes some knowledge is hard to come by because it’s hard to talk about.

I like to talk about hard topics that some do not want to talk about because there might be a stigma associated with the topic or just because it’s difficult to talk about. Brené Brown is one of my heros. If you haven’t read any of her books, please do.

The name of my blog is inspired by Brené Brown’s book called Rising Strong. This idea that you can not go through life trying to please everyone and you will always have people that will always be in the cheap seats criticizing you. And you really have to be okay with that, if you want to get anywhere in life. Your critics don’t make you strong. Your supporters do.

What People Have Said About Me

“Boy she has really been through some incredibly hard stuff. She is super tough.”

“She really tells it like it is with no sugar added but is also very tactful.”
